Mia and the Grumbly Cloud
๐ฆธ Hero: Mia, 4, brave in her yellow pajamas
๐พ The monster: the Grumbly Cloud, a huge grey puff with droopy eyes that rumbles so loudly nobody in town can sleep
๐บ๏ธ Where: the rooftops of Pillow Town
๐ How Mia wins: she finds out the Cloud is scared of the dark and lends it her star night-light. It finally snores, softly.
๐ Goodnight: even big rumbly things just need a little light.
Your storyteller
Meet Chatty, the koala who helps you tell the story
When you open WhatsApp, you'll be chatting with Chatty. Give Chatty a hero, a worry or a favourite toy, and Chatty sketches tonight's adventure: who the monster is, what happens, and how the hero wins with courage, kindness or a clever idea.
Chatty never reads the story to your child. That part is yours. Chatty just makes sure you never run out of ideas.

Here's tonight's story backbone ๐
This is how Chatty appears in your WhatsApp chats.
Three steps to a story only you can tell
1. Tell Chatty about tonight
Message Chatty like a friend: a hero, a monster, a place, your child's first name and age. Typing or a voice note, in any language.
2. Get the backbone
Seconds later: who the hero is, what the monster looks like and wants, the adventure in a few beats, and how the hero wins.
3. Tell it your way
Read it once, then make it yours: silly voices, family jokes, the favourite teddy. It's your story, not a script.
What you get: a backbone, not a script
Chatty doesn't read the story for you. Chatty hands you the bones: a monster worth describing, a few moments of adventure and a kind way for the hero to win. The magic is your voice.
Want it less scary, or a different monster? Just ask, and Chatty sends a new version.
Chatty's backbone for tonight
Leo and the Sock-Stealing Shadow
- ๐ฆธ Hero
- Leo, 6, who always knows where everything is.
- ๐พ The monster
- A long, wobbly shadow under the bed with button eyes. It giggles like a squeaky door and collects one sock from every child in town.
- ๐บ๏ธ Where
- The land under Leo's bed, where lost things go.
- ๐ The adventure
-
- Leo's left sock vanishes, again.
- He crawls under the bed with a torch and finds a mountain of single socks.
- The Shadow appears, then shrinks when the torch shines on it.
- Leo hears it sniffle: it's cold, and the socks keep it warm.
- ๐ How the hero wins
- Leo knits the socks into one giant blanket with the Shadow's help. Warm at last, the Shadow gives every sock back.
- ๐ Goodnight
- Sometimes a monster is just someone who needs a blanket.

Questions parents ask
Who is Chatty?
Chatty is the friendly koala you talk to on WhatsApp: Keepit's storyteller. Chatty writes the backbone of each story; you do the telling. Our WhatsApp number is also home to Chatty AI, a separate everyday assistant. If you ever end up there, send โHi Keepit Upbeatโ to come back to stories.
What age is it for?
Stories are pitched at 3 to 8 years old by default. Tell Chatty your child's age and the backbone adapts.
Why not the full story?
Because the best bedtime stories are told, not read. You get the hero, the monster and how the hero wins, and you tell it in your own words, at your child's pace.
Is it safe for kids?
Chatty avoids anything violent, gory or frightening at bedtime, and the hero always wins with courage, kindness or cleverness. You read every backbone before telling it.
Do you need my child's details?
No. A first name and age help personalise a story, but they're optional, and Chatty never asks for anything else.
How many stories can I get?
Your first story is free. Subscribers get up to 3 new stories a day, which is plenty for bedtime, naps and car trips.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime. In WhatsApp, send โaccountโ to open your Keepit account page (if you've been using Chatty AI, send โHi Keepit Upbeatโ first).
